Cookie policy
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies uupis uses, why they are needed and how you can manage your consent.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They make it possible to remember that you are signed in, to keep your chosen language and other choices. Browser local storage works in a similar way.
2. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are used without consent because they are technically required to deliver the service you requested. All other cookies are used only after you have given explicit consent (ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC and GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
Optional cookies are switched off by default. Refusing them does not affect core functionality, only convenience.
3. Cookie categories
Necessary cookies provide sign-in, security, the selected language and storing your consent. Preference cookies remember interface choices. Statistics cookies (Umami) measure anonymous usage only with your consent. Marketing cookies are not currently used in the system.

4. Managing your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the page footer. If you withdraw consent for preference cookies, any preference cookies already stored are deleted from your device immediately.
The consent record is stored for up to 6 months, after which the banner is shown again.
5. Browser settings
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
6. Third party cookies
Sign-in uses a Google account, so during sign-in Google may set its own cookies in line with the Google privacy policy. We do not use any other third party tracking tools.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change the list of cookies or the categories we use, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again.
